Mizoram State Museum
DirectionA museum that was constructed in 1977, the museum is an ethnographic museum that displays objects that serve multiple purposes. There are five galleries, which are devoted to the following subjects: textiles, ethnology, history, anthropology, natural history, and ethnography. The extensive culture of Mizo life is portrayed in each and every collection. A number of other aspects, such as the way of life of the indigenous people, their dwellings, clothing, weaponry, tools, modes of transportation, culinary styles, educational practices, and so on, are also displayed through the museum’s collection of artifacts. In addition, the museum contains several areas that are specifically designated for the presentation of a variety of plant and animal species
