Mizoram is linked with the rest of the country by Air, Rail and Road Transport.
By Air
Aizawl is linked by air to Kolkata, Guwahati and Imphal by regular airline services from Lengpui airport, which is 30 km. away from the main city. Air India, Indigo are the two regular airlines which operate flights to and from Lengpui Airport.
By Rail
Bairabi is the only Railway station in the state of Mizoram, however the station is in the northern Mizoram and 90 kms from Aizawl city. The station is connected to Silchar and have very few trains plying on the route. Thus, there is no rail connectivity in Aizawl, but there are plans to connect Bairabi (90 kms away from Sairang) with Sairang (located in North-Western portion of AUA) with broad-gauge railway track.
By Road
The state is well connected through national highways (NH) – NH-44A, NH-54, NH-54A, NH-54B, NH-150, NH-154 and NH-502A – to neighbouring states of Assam, Manipur, Tripura and Meghalaya.
